The opening of school facilities for public use in 2006, has seen the school transformed into a vibrant hub of the local community. A definite 'buzz' exists as a variety of activities take place. Groups from within the local area are making use of the state-of-the-art, yet affordable, facilities. Such groups include:

• Local Five-a-side teams
• Lisburn Archery Club
• Hillsborough Boys
• Lisnagarvey Girls FC
• Northern Ireland National Junior Archery Academy (NINJAAS) Centre of Excellence
• Simply Fit (various classes throughout the week)
• Various charities/voluntary organisations - Hugo Duncan Concerts
