Facilities
Resulting from an extensive and on-going refurbishment programme, Lisnagarvey offers its
pupils the most up-to-date facilities for academic, social and recreational development.
Purpose-built units for Science, Music, Technology and Design, Educational Technology and
Career Guidance provide excellent working conditions in these important areas of the curriculum.
The excellent environment in which Lisnagarvey pupils work has been further enhanced by the new ICT
and Technology facilities, which were upgraded in 2015. The majority of classrooms are now equipped
with Interactive Whiteboards, allowing teachers to cater for different learning styles and increase
student interactivity in lessons.
A high level of staff commitment and expertise gives pupils the opportunity to experience a wide range
of extra-curricular activities.
The school features a state-of-the-art fitness suite comprising of fixed and loose weight stations, running
machines, aerobics machines, cross trainers, step machines and bike trainers.
The school library provides resources to support the curriculum for both pupils and staff. As well as
allowing for independent study the library promotes reading as a fun and leisure activity through whole
class and extra curricular activities. The library has recently been upgraded to facilitate the roll out
of the Bedrock Digital Literacy Programme.
